Domino

Welcome! Domino is a community for students and young adults, who wish to develop their spiritual and social life – through community, prayer and discussion, inspired by the Dominican spiritual tradition.

Thursdays 19:15 – Weekly Meeting

Wednesdays 12:30 – Open Lunch

1 Sunday/month, 17:30 – High Mass and Dinner

Student community

Our weekly meeting begins after Vespers, which begin at 19:00 in the chapel. We gather in the common room to listen to a presentation, have a discussion, and then there is time to get to know each other. All are welcome – you don’t have to be Catholic to come to a meeting! We want to create an environment where we take the chance to listen to each other and grow in mutual understanding.

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

Acts of the Apostles 2,42

Prayer life

The Dominican house is a unique place to practice the Christian faith, and several of our celebrations are adapted to welcoming young people.

Sunday Mass

Every month we have a Sunday Mass in the chapel. The liturgy is in English. After the celebration, we share a meal together where everyone brings a dish!
In the Fall 2026:
August 30
– 17:30
September 20 – 17:30
October 25 – 17:30
November 25 – 17:30
December 13 – 17:30

Taizé evenings

Some Thursdays we gather in the chapel to sing Taizé songs, listen to a Bible passage and a commentary, and pray for each others’ intentions. These take place as regular Thursday meetings, at 19:30.

Student Chaplain

Brother Andreas is appointed as student chaplain by the diocese. He is available if you have any questions, need spiritual guidance, or if you wish to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation.

Want to dive deeper in one aspect of the faith, explore your creative side, and maybe make new friends? Try joining one of our teams for studying, praying or socializing. The groups are organized by the participants, but the Domino planning group and the friars are happy to help. If you have an idea, let us know!

Bible Studies

Explore the Word of God and learn how to understand, receive and interpret it. A reading plan is fixed at the beginning of the semester.

Theology Debates

A debate is a way to sharpen our thoughts and find out what matters to us. Study the rich Tradition of the Church and its theological controverses, and discuss questions that you are passionate about!

Liturgy and Music

Learn to sing and discuss the meaning of music in the celebration of the sacrements.

The teams take turns to share their experiences with everyone at the Thursday meetings – to ”share the fruits of contemplation”!
